INFORMATION ON INDIAN PASSPORT SERVICES

 

 Passport for children below 15 years
   
  Minors under age 15 who have their own passports
  Note: A minor child is issued with a Passport of maximum validity of 5 years from the day of issue or till 15 years of age, whichever is less, because of likely change in physical appearance of the child.

  Following documents are required to be submitted for this services:
   
   
  • Fill in the application form online and make sure you have filled in all the columns.
   
  • Save the form after you have filled it; this generates a registration number, make sure you note it down as this number will be required to process your application and to answer your queries that you may have about your application.
   
  • After making note of the registration number, print out the form that you have filled in and saved.
   
  • The signature or thumb impression of the child must be put in all the boxes provided for signatures, including the boxes for specimen signatures, making very sure that the signature/impression is within the confines of the box. No part of the impression must be outside the box. (Left thumb impression for Male and Right thumb impression for Female).
   
  • The parents need to sign the application on behalf of the child at the place indicated in the application form.(NOT IN THE PLACE PROVIDED FOR SPECIMEN SIGNATURES)
   
  • Current passport and additional booklets, if any, issued subsequently
   
  • Three latest photographs of 4x4 size, one photograph to be pasted on the application form and signed across.
   
  • ECNR is issued by default for new passports. Please note that there will not be any stamp explicitly stating Emigration Check Not Required. In case applicants require ECNR to be stamped send a copy of Parent's passport if he/she was granted Emigration Clearance Not Required (ECNR)
   
  • APPLICABLE FEE in favour of "VFS Australia Pty Ltd" for payments in the form of bank cheque or money order.
   
  • Cash accepted at Counter only.
   
  • Courier/ postal charges as applicable in case of IP &VSC. In case of application to HCI, Canberra/CGI, Sydney, self addressed envelop should be attached for sending the passport back after issue.
   
  • Please do not make firm travel bookings before receicing your passport
   
  • Processing Time: Approx. 2 months. In some cases it may take more time.

  • Applicants must submit attested copies of certificates and documents from JP or pharmacist etc. But affidavits must be attested from from justice of peace.
