With its system of political democracy, secularism, independent foreign policy and consistent record of stability, India is today poised for greater advance - economic, industrial or social

With Australia, India has enjoyed traditional bonds of friendship and goodwill. In modern times, we have worked closely on several issues in a number of fora. Today, as two large Commonwealth countries, we stand to benefit a great deal by sharing our experiences and working together.
