POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATES
(PCC) |

This is a document issued by the High Commission certifying
that the applicant has never been involved with the Indian
police, and is normally required when you apply for emigration
status to countries such as Australia, USA, Canada etc.
The normal procedure for issuing a PCC is that the High
Commission checks with the police authorities in the area(s)
in India where you had been residing, and issues the PCC
after obtaining their clearance.

Emergency Certificate is a one-way travel-one-time document, which is issued to Indian nationals who do not hold valid Indian passports and need to travel back to India. It is usually issued to persons detained by Australian authorities and who are to be deported back to India.
