In response to questions on recent developments in the Middle East, the Official Spokesperson said:

“We have been following the recent escalation of violence in the Middle East particularly the situation in Gaza and the West Bank. We wish all sides would abjure violence and take to the path of dialogue and peaceful resolution of all disputes.”
